AMI Privateers 4th of July Parade
When it comes to events hosted here in Anna Maria Island, there is none bigger than our annual AMI Privateers 4th of July Parade. This popular event returns once again in 2025 to put on the biggest event in the area of the year. This is an absolutely free event, so the whole family can attend while making it easy on the wallet. The AMI Privateers 4th of July Parade can be found over at Coquina Beach, one of the most popular beaches in the area. The parade will march along with decorated floats some even resembling pirate ships! Friendly warning, many floats have been known in the past to carry water guns with them for a little crowd engagement along with beads. The parade will last approximately two hours and kicks off at 10:00 AM before reaching its end over at City Pier. Come cool off with the AMI Privateers 4th of July Parade here in Anna Maria Island!
Anna Maria City Picnic Celebration
The AMI Privateers 4th of July Parade is just the first of many ways to celebrate your holiday with us over the summer. Immediately after the parade the Anna Maria City Picnic Celebration will take place, offering delicious food and live entertainment. This event can be found at City Park, where the parade ends, making it easy to reach. The party will kick off at noon and will run until 1:30 PM for everyone to enjoy. Grab a plate and feel like a local as you enjoy your sunny day in Anna Maria Island. Parking for this event can be tricky so biking over to the Anna Maria City Picnic Celebration is always encouraged.Independence Day Celebration with the Maruaders
Anna Maria Island is home to our very own minor league baseball team that always puts on an Independence Day Celebration game just in time for 4th of July. This year they will be on the road for the holiday itself so their holiday tradition will instead take place on July 3rd. The Bradenton Marauders have become hometown celebrities with their games always being a family friendly delight. This year’s Independence Day Celebration will be against the Fort Myers Mighty Mussels with the game starting at 6:30 PM. In year’s past, the event has provided the first 1,500 fans with complimentary t shirts along with other prizes. Make sure to stick around after the game has ended to catch their fireworks show that is guaranteed to light up the night sky.
