Fishing is a local favorite for Anna Maria Island as we are surrounded by the Gulf of Mexico. This huge body of water is home to many incredible fish that can be reeled up especially those who are ready for some deep sea fishing. Local charters are able to take you out into the deeper water where you can find fish including snapper, mackerel, barracudas, sharks, tiger fish, porgies, and so much more. Charters have an expert captain on hand to help you out with the gear and how to use it. They also typically provide the fishing licenses you need to fish in the state of Florida. If you prefer to stick closer to land you will find plenty of smaller charters too. These charters are typically completed in a few hours and will help you find red fish and other local favorites. Some charters you can depend on in Anna Maria Island include Cortez Deep Sea Fishing and Stray Dog Charters.
